Doring Bay is the home location for the Fryer’s Cove Winery. The actual winery
is perched on the jetty that juts into the cold Atlantic Ocean. The unique
winery building is an old Crayfish factory, and our winery, as far as we know is
the only winery built on the sea in the world!
IDEAL DRINKING
We first need to establish two truths. One, Rosé is delicious, as we think this one is. And two, many of us deprive ourselves of it between May and August in South Africa! Just like reds and whites, Rosés pair well with food. Like really well! We want you to crack a bottle, enjoy the deliciously inviting gentle strawberry fruits and a hint of the sea, backed up with a mouth-watering balanced dryness, that just slips down. This is our first ever special Pinot Noir Rosé and there aren’t many of them around. Enjoy!
SUGGESTED FOOD PAIRINGS
Light salads, light pasta and rice dishes especially with seafood, lightly cooked shellfish and grilled fish, goats’ cheeses, or just on its own with no food and a great friend or partner!
TASTING NOTES
It screams at you! “Sexy gorgeous colour, fresh, crisp, Strawberries, gentle Raspberries, dry moreish elegance – Please enjoy me now!” We think it does! Perfect on a hot day or a beautiful sunset! All the hallmarks of our unique West Coast style of cool climate, terroir driven Pinot Noir being tickled in to a delicious dry Rosé.
